However, now I'm debating once again about buying a new Kindle. I just want a reader, not something that plays games and movies and all the rest of that stuff, but the newest edition of a Kindle costs $79, and all you can do is read ( which is all I want), but the latest Kindle Fire is only $49. But it talks so much about the junk on it, and so little about books, that I don't know if it will hold all the books I want or not...might interfere with some darn movie!Mikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08371767512022913349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3857775826978446187.post-41214781407434097532015-09-28T11:28:55.229-07:002015-09-28T11:28:55.229-07:00I have a kindle and have had it for years. I love the idea of taking 300 plus books along wherever I go as opposed to having to carry an actual book with me. How convenient.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09683064637626718318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3857775826978446187.post-23883624052747187842015-09-03T08:50:57.939-07:002015-09-03T08:50:57.939-07:00So much depends on the example parents set. I'm fortunate in that my grandkids and their parents read both ebooks and print books ( my 16 yr old read 14 books this summer-ebook and print). I probably won't replace it, as I also prefer print books. I have a friend who owns a Used Book store, so I wait until the latest books from my favorite authors come to her, and then I buy them. They are still in great condition, and often are hard bound, which she sells for $5 to $8. Saves a lot of money, as they sell at Barnes & Noble for between $25 and $30.Mikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08371767512022913349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3857775826978446187.post-48294720081288906432015-09-03T07:10:39.405-07:002015-09-03T07:10:39.405-07:00I don't have a kindle and don't want one. ...I don't have a kindle and don't want one. I do have an ipad but don't like reading a book on it. I still like, and probably always will, the physical print book. I wish I did enjoy reading on my ipad because books sure are cheaper that way, but I just don't. Allyn Stotzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00125021589041199877noreply@blogger.com
